Why can lymph vessels transport larger molecules than blood vessels?

The function of the lymph vessel is to transport water, dissolved substances and other particles from the tissue fluid to flow back into the blood stream. Because some of these particles are larger than blood vessels, they are carried through lymph vessel which has a larger diameter than the blood capillaries.
