Shearling coats are manufactured using the sheep skin that varies as per its availability from different parts of the world. The sheep skin is extremely soft which makes the coat very light and durable.
Shearling coats of finest quality are made in Spain as the sheep skin found there is extremely supple which provides the best shearling coats ever. Apart from Spain, Argentina is also instrumental in producing some of the best shearling coats.
Some countries tend to produce heavy sheep skin which leaves no room for flexibility. Some of these countries include England, Australia, Iceland and New Zealand. The sheep skin from these countries is highly unsuitable for manufacturing of shearling coats and therefore it is feasible to avoid coats from such countries. However, one can find thick and heavy coats of finest quality in Uruguay which offers coats that are most suitable for extremely cold weather.
