Children seem to enjoy dramatic plays simply because it helps to create a fun world that does not otherwise exist. But over all this, dramatic plays also help in the growth of the child in other ways.
One of the ways it helps a child is in making the child understand the concerted efforts needed to make the drama a success. The child also develops presence of mind in covering up for flaws made during the play or otherwise. Most importantly, dramatic plays also helps the child in improving their observing skills and visualizing skills. A kid that plays a teacher will learn to remember how teachers carry themselves, what are the things they say and how they say it, and also in roles that they do not get to observe often, children learn to visualize how they must be like.
